These simple, inexpensive charge controllers are series shunt type. That means that when a preset high battery voltage is reached the flow of power from the panels is disconnected until the batteries fall to a preset low battery voltage. A single light tells you whether the panels are charging or not. ASC controllers are UL Approved!
ASC charge controllers have a five year warranty.
